UK police arrest fifth person on slavery charges

A woman has been charged with conspiring to hold people as slaves and forcing them to carry out work at a travellers’ site, police said.

Josie Connors, 30, is the fifth person to be charged with offences in relation to the Greenacres Travellers’ site in Bedfordshire, which was raided by police on Sunday.
