'Rogue slug' halts traffic at busy UK junction
A "rogue slug" sparked travel chaos in Darlington, in England last week after crawling into a traffic light , causing a short circuit.
Cars were brought to a standstill at a busy junction when the lights failed.
Engineers from the local authority were called out and discovered the dead creature in the traffic light's control box.
Officials said the slug infiltrated the control mechanism, sat on the circuit board and then got fried.
