EU court rules against ban on pilots over 60

A top EU court has ruled that a ban on pilots flying past the age of 60 is illegal.

The case was brought by three pilots against German carrier, Lufthansa.

It said that while the right to act as a pilot may be limited from that age, the rule goes beyond what is necessary to ensure air traffic safety.
