Police warn of gangs planning trouble at London carnival

Police in the UK say they have reason to believe some gangs are planning on causing trouble at this year's Notting Hill Carnival after monitoring social networking websites.

The two-day street party is now underway, but organisers have agreed to finish the event at the earlier time of 7pm to allay concerns in the wake of the recent rioting.
