Cypriot drivers cannot replenish while driving

Drivers in Cyprus are not allowed to drink water while at the wheel.

Motorists in the traditionally hot country have to pull over if they want to consume any liquids because drinking any beverages while driving is illegal, it was revealed in a guide warning British drivers about bizarre foreign driving laws, published by car rental firm Avis.

Other strange regulations includes women being outlawed from driving a car while wearing a dressing gown in California - and in Russia and Romania it is illegal to drive a dirty vehicle.

What's more, those who wear glasses while out on the road in Spain must carry a spare pair by law.
