High drama for high-wire artist

A Chinese high-wire artist was left clinging to a tightrope 100 metres up in the air after he slipped.

Saimaiti Aishan had no safety net underneath the 15-metre wire - which was being held up in the sky by two hot air balloons, which were affected by the wind force and direction - as he lost his footing while attempting to cross the tightrope in China's Hunan Province.

He had already managed the feat at 30 metres, but he wanted to take on the 100-metre challenge.

However, Saimaiti was unable to complete the stunt as the balloons slowly fell to the ground following his stumble.
