Aussie man banned for beer cooler test drive

An Australian man has been banned from driving after he was caught riding a motorised beer cooler whilst intoxicated.

Chris Petrie, 23, was a little worse for wear as he took his new vehicle - which cost him around €500 to build and features a beer cooler attached to a 50cc scooter - for a test drive.

He was pulled over by police and found to be three times over the blood-alcohol limit, earning him a 10-month driving ban.

Chris told Australian news channel Network Ten: "By the time we built it, it was quite late. So we thought we'd go for a bit of a test run."
