Optometrist issues gold contact lenses

An Indian optometrist has created the first gold and diamond contact lenses.

Chandrashekhar Chawan, who works at India's Shekhar Eye Research Centre, has designed the eyeware, which is being sold for 679,500 rupees (€10,561) a pair and comes in four different designs.
