Woman claims surgeon left sponge inside her after op

An Australian woman claims a grapefruit-sized sponge was left inside her after an operation 15 years ago.

Helen O'Hagan claims the product was mistakenly left in her body when she underwent a procedure in 1992 - and she is suing as a result of the error after suffering from cramps, fevers and a loss of bowel control since the op.
