Jessica named Britain's tallest woman at 6ft 9in

A girl has is being branded Britain's tallest female at 6ft 9in.

Jessica Pardoe - who is two inches taller than lanky English soccer star Peter Crouch - has 38-inch legs, which she regards as the longest in Britain, and size 11 feet, although she admits her pins are problematic when it comes to shopping.

The 18-year-old from Wrexham, north Wales, told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I adore my long legs but they cause problems buying clothes.

"I can get away with wearing skirts and dresses as minis, but no high street trousers, jeans or shoes fit. I can get them online but they are much more expensive."

Jessica was already 5ft 8in when she was 11 years old and measured a long, but not unusual, 53cm from head to toe when she was born.

Tallness seems to run in the Pardoe family as Jessica's little 17-year-old brother Niall even looks down on her as he is 6ft 10in.
