A dustman's holiday?
A British man volunteers to work as a dustman when he goes on holiday.
Steve Jones, a gardener, who also restores vintage dustcarts - has worked with bin men in Malta and Cyprus when he's been away because he likes emptying bins "for kicks".
He said: “I loved watching the rubbish get chewed up by the crushing mechanism and I dreamt of being a dustman.
"Every summer for 17 years I was an unofficial, unpaid dustman. I went out every morning emptying bins for kicks."
But in 1987 the 48-year-old bachelor finally landed his ideal job of being a bin man.
He added: "Youngsters came into the industry without enthusiasm so I got disheartened and left.”
