Man wins fifth hot dog eating contest
A man has claimed his fifth successive July 4th hot dog eating contest win in the US.
Joey Chestnut consumed 62 wieners in 10 minutes - enough to overcome second-placed Pat Bertoletti by nine dogs - on his way to the annual Nathan's International Hot Dog Eating Contest title at New York's Coney Island.
But Joey was fortunate he did not have to compete against his main rival Takeru Kobayashi, who refused to sign a contract with Major League Eating, meaning he could not compete in the event.
Takeru ate 69 hot dogs in the same time during an unofficial competition on a Manhattan rooftop.
