A lifeboat was launched after receiving a distress signal at sea, only to find it was from a car on a ferry.

A three-hour search by the Anglesey-based Moelfre lifeboat crew took place off the Welsh coast before it was discovered an anti-theft tracking device on a BMW car, which was parked on a Dublin to Liverpool ferry, set off the signal.
