Most-pierced woman walks up aisle

The most pierced woman in the world has got married.

Brazilian-born Elaine Davidson – who has nearly 7,000 piercings – tied the knot with Douglas Watson at a ceremony in Edinburgh while wearing a wedding dress, but just showing her face, which was covered in 192 piercings.

David, 60, who is 14 years older than Elaine, wore a navy suit as he got hitched to the piercings enthusiast – and he described her as looking "astonishing" and admitted to being surprised by people's reaction to her body art.

He told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: "Elaine looked astonishing. People see the piercings but I see the amazing personality underneath. We have known each other for a long time.

"We met in a coffee shop in Glasgow 15 years ago and got chatting. We connected straight away and have been together ever since.

"I am always amazed by the effect her piercings have on people. She's an incredible woman. People think its unconventional but that is the woman she is and people love her for it."
