Eight killed in Sri Lankan floods

Floods, mudslides and lightning have killed eight people throughout Sri Lanka.

The government’s disaster management centre said heavy rains triggered floods and mudslides in several parts of the country over the weekend, killing seven people. One person died after being struck by lightning.
