Toddler sold on eBay

An American toddler was sold on eBay for $1,000.

Autumn Braden, 19, was babysitting her two-year-old relative and decided to put up an advert on the auction website to hawk the tot.

She wrote in her post: "An adorable child for sale can clean and hold a decent conversation very lovable but i just out grew her. (sic)"

Police tracked Autumn down after a bidder saw their hoax offer had been accepted and alerted them to the situation.

An eBay spokesman said: "The sale of humans is illegal and is not permitted on our site."
