Politician 'shocked' at bin Laden discovery
The discovery of Osama bin Laden’s hideaway in a city at the heart of Pakistan’s military establishment today revived questions about alleged links between al-Qaida and elements in the country’s security forces.
The Pakistani authorities were quick to insist that they had no prior knowledge that the world’s most wanted man was living in the garrison town of Abbottabad, only a few hundred yards from the military academy known as Pakistan’s Sandhurst.
