Town changes name to promote film
The Pennsylvania city of Altoona has changed its name to make some money – and to help independent film-maker Morgan Spurlock make a point.
Spurlock is giving the city $25,000 (€16,902) to be named after his newest movie 'POM Wonderful Presents: The Greatest Movie Ever Sold'.
The name change will last for 60 days to publicise the film, which attacks the proliferation of advertising in American life.
