World marks 25th anniversary of Chernobyl disaster

The world is today marking the 25th anniversary of the worst ever nuclear disaster at Chernobyl.

To commemorate the occasion, a leading Belarussian scientist has come to Ireland to brief Tánaiste and Foreign Affairs Minster Eamon Gilmore on the current status of radioactive contamination from Chernobyl.
