Woman addicted to eating sofas

A woman in the US is addicted to eating sofas.

Adele Edwards, 30, can't stop herself from munching on the polyester that fills her three-piece suite as well as other household items such as elastic bands and rubbers.

During the course of her lifetime the mother-of-five has eaten eight settees, five chairs and 224 lbs of cushioning.

Adele suffers from Pica - a condition which makes people crave inedible objects - and said of first eating a sofa as a child: "It sounds strange but, to me, foam tasted like sweets."
