Canine comes back from the brink

A puppy survived a lethal injection in the US.

It was decided stray Wall-e should be put to sleep after he was found in Oklahoma and he was given a lethal dose of sedative in his foreleg, followed by another to his heart to ensure death.

However, he was found alive and well the next day in a bin set aside for dead animals and now hundreds of people are offering to adopt him.

Scott Prall who administered the injections and found the pup said: "He was prancing around. He heard me drive up, and he looked up and saw me."

Marcia Machtiger, who donated money towards the board of Wall-e said: "Having been euthanised basically twice ... It's a resurrection and a will to live and a medical anomaly."
