Turtle mania sweeps Hanoi

Thousands of Vietnamese crowded around around a lake today hoping to see a rare giant sacred turtle that is in desperate need of medical attention.

Dozens of workers waded chest-deep in Hanoi’s Hoan Kiem Lake to try to capture it for the first time so it could be treated.
