Military 'committed to civilian rule in Egypt'
Egypt's new military rulers have told the nation they are committed to civilian rule.
They have announced a series of measures since the ousted President Mubarak left office.
It is being reported the demonstrations in Cairo's Tahrir Square will end tonight, but will reconvene every Friday.
British Foreign Office minister Alistair Burt has said he has heard encouraging signs in some of the comments already made by the Egyptian military.
