Dad-of-two is woman on birth cert

A 47-year-old British man's birth certificate claims he is actually a 57-year-old woman.

Iain Macmillian, from Perthshire got a shock when he ordered a copy of the document to find it littered with errors.

Not only were the bearded dad-of-two's date of birth and sex incorrect, but his birthplace was spelled incorrectly too.

He said: "I'll need to find out if I have to start wearing a frock or not. I don't know whether to be raging or laughing. I can understand one mistake, but not this many."

Representatives from his hometown's registry office said the blips were down to a "typing error".
