A Shaolin monk has entered a talent contest showing off his ability to endure being kicked in the testicles.

Yong Hsueh appeared on Chinese TV to show the rare martial art of "steel crotch Kung Fu" – allowing members of a judging panel to boot him hard in the groin.

He told the audience: "Steel crotch Kung Fu is an ancient art, with roots stretching back to ancient China.

"It's a practice to strengthen and protect the male genital organs so there is less chance they are injured or incapacitated in battle."

Yong claimed it was a skill that could only be learned in childhood – and surprisingly good for improving a man's sex life.
