Two suspected members of ETA have been arrested, less than 24 hours after the Basque separatist group declared a permanent ceasefire, Spain’s Interior Ministry said today.

A ministry official said one suspect, considered a computer expert, was arrested in a joint operation with French police in the southern French town of Ciboure and his girlfriend was picked up back across the Spanish border in the beach town of Zarautz.
