Snow shuts Paris Airport

Heavy snowfalls closed Paris’ Charles de Gaulle airport and shut down the Paris bus system today.

Flights in and out the airport were suspended until around 5pm local time.

Snow quickly turned into a slushy mess in Paris’ streets, halting traffic. Paris’ RATP transport network said all buses in the capital stopped running, along with many suburban buses.

Heavy snowfall is unusual in Paris.
