Scientists measuring rises in global temperatures underestimated the rate of warming in the past decade, they said today, setting out the “growing” evidence for climate change.

The rate at which temperatures are rising has slowed in the past decade, although there is still a warming trend over the 10 years since 2000 and the decade was the hottest on record, researchers from the UK's Met Office said.
