Defence calls last witness in Charles Taylor trial

Defence lawyers for former Liberian ruler Charles Taylor say they will call a final witness at his war crimes trial.

Taylor is on trial at the Special Court for Sierra Leone on charges of arming and supporting notoriously brutal rebels in Sierra Leone’s 12-year civil war from his seat of power in neighbouring Liberia. He denies wrongdoing.
