Pakistan government worker held in connection with Times Square bomb plot

A worker in Pakistan’s state-run Islamic advisory body has been arrested accused of playing an important role in the failed New York Times Square car bombing.

Intelligence sources said Faisal Abbasi accompanied the Pakistan-American bomber to Pakistan’s north-west to meet militant leaders.
