Policewoman savaged by dog

A policewoman in the UK was taken to hospital with serious arm and stomach injuries after being savaged by a dog, police said today.

The officer was responding to reports of a disturbance in the Whitleigh area of Plymouth when she was attacked at about 12pm yesterday, Devon and Cornwall Police said.
