Union officials to decide walkout dates at British airports

Officials from the union Unite will meet tomorrow to decide dates for walkouts that could bring travel chaos to six British airports from the end of this month.

If the action goes ahead it will impact on Irish people travelling to Heathrow, Stansted, Glasgow, Southampton, Edinburgh and Aberdeen airports.

It is hoped talks between the union and BAA can get underway tomorrow.

Staff working for BAA - the owner of several major airports in the UK - rejected a 1% pay offer.

Unite boss Tony Woodley says his members are "being penalised for other people's mistakes".
