British man killed in Iraq blast

A Briton was killed in an attack on a private security convoy in northern Iraq today.

The British Embassy said a car bomb blew up close to a convoy of foreign security vehicles in Mosul during the morning rush hour. Five civilians were wounded in the attack.

Mosul is Iraq’s third largest city and a northern stronghold of al-Qaida militants.
