Paul the Octopus the star of new iPhone app

Paul the Octopus, who predicted World Cup matches with uncanny accuracy, is now an iPhone application.

The software has been described as a "fun way to randomly choose between two options".

The user types in two choices and a cartoon version of the eight-legged oracle chooses between them.

Paul, an octopus at an aquarium in Oberhausen, Germany, earned worldwide attention during the World Cup with his predictions, which included all of Germany's matches, as well as Spain's victory in the final against the Netherlands.
