Afghan President Hamid Karzai today ordered an investigation into reports that his forces fired on international troops in the country’s south, killing three.

Details of today’s incident remained unclear, but a presidential spokesman said Mr Karzai was upset to hear initial reports that Afghan troops were responsible.
