Sumo stars engulfed in betting scandal

Japan’s public broadcasting network said it may drop an upcoming sumo tournament from its schedules because of viewer anger over a widespread gambling scandal involving wrestlers and coaches.

A spokesman for NHK, which has aired the six annual tournaments for decades, made the announcement.
