Military copter downed in Afghanistan

A Nato helicopter was shot down in southern Afghanistan today but there was no immediate word on casualties.

A spokesman said it went down in Helmand province but that few other details were available.

A spokesman for the provincial government of Helmand province said it crashed in Sangin district after taking ground fire.
