US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has said proposals for new sanctions over Iran's nuclear programme have been agreed.

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has said proposals for new sanctions over Iran's nuclear programme have been agreed.

She has told a Senate committee that the five permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany have come up with a draft for a fresh round of penalties.

It will be circulated at the full UN Security Council meeting today.
