Cameron homes in on Downing St

David Cameron's Conservatives were tonight on the brink of an historic deal with the Liberal Democrats which will see Cameron finally installed as British Prime Minister.

Out-going PM Gordon Brown was expected to travel to Buckingham Palace to tender his resignation to the Queen this evening bringing down the curtain on 13 years of Labour rule.
