Google continues to censor some China content

Google is still censoring content for some of its business partners in China, two days after moving its search engine offshore, a spokeswoman for the internet search giant said.

Jessica Powell said Google is still providing censored searches for partners who have contracts requiring it, and the firm will continue to honour those commitments - for now.

Ms Powell said that over time, all the censoring done by Google in China will be phased out.

Google provides search services to China Mobile and has contracts with popular web portal Sina, classified advertisement site Ganji and many others.
