Argentina asks for US help in Falklands row

Argentina asked for US help in resolving the brewing dispute with the UK over the Falkland Islands, where Britain has begun drilling for oil.

Argentine president Cristina Fernandez said she made the request during an unexpectedly lengthy meeting with visiting US secretary of state Hillary Clinton.
