Troops block protests in Indian Kashmir
Thousands of soldiers in riot gear patrolled the streets in Indian Kashmir’s main city and warned residents to stay at home to quell protests over the death of a teenage boy.
The government has banned the assembly of more than four people in Srinagar, which has been rocked by protests since a 14-year-old boy was killed on Sunday when he was hit in the head by a tear gas shell fired by police.
