Niece of UK defence minister on trial for lover's murder
The niece of British defence minister Quentin Davies went on trial in France today accused of killing her lover during a frenzied sex game.
Jessica Davies faces 30 years in prison if convicted of the 2007 stabbing.
In November 2007 police responded to a call from Davies saying there was a wounded man in her home, in the affluent Paris suburb of Saint-Germain-en-Laye.
The victim, Oliver Mugnier, died from multiple stab wounds to the throat and body.
Davies ,30, a French and British dual citizen, is a former model with a history of depression.
