Fort Hood shooter 'paralyzed from the neck down'

The American Army Major, charged with shooting 13 people dead at an army base, is apparently paralyzed from the chest down.

The Washington Post is reporting that doctors believe Nidal Hasan's paralysis will be permanent.

He is in intensive care recovering from gunshot wounds received when troops returned fire at Fort Hood in Texas, earlier this month.

A date for his court-martial hasn't been announced.
