Two killed as gunmen open fire on commuter bus
Gunmen opened fire on a commuter bus in the southern Philippines, killing two and wounding eight passengers, authorities said today.
The bus was attacked on a coastal highway shortly after leaving Gutalac town in Zamboanga del Norte province yesterday.
Authorities say it is not yet clear who was responsible for the attack.
Last month, armed kidnappers snatched Irish priest Michael Sinnott, 79, in neighbouring Zamboanga del Sur province, and demanded US$2 (€1.35m) for his release.
