Blair under fire from Luxembourg premier

As EU governments weigh who should be the first ever European Union president, Luxembourg premier Jean-Claude Juncker spoke out against the candidacy of former British prime minister Tony Blair today.

Juncker said Blair’s support for the invasion of Iraq and his aloofness from Europe – he kept Britain out of the euro and the EU’s visa-free travel zone - disqualified him from the top EU job.
