Suspected car bomb explodes in Spain

The Spanish Interior Ministry says a suspected car bomb has exploded near a Civil Guard barracks in the northern city of Burgos.

Authorities did not have any immediate details available on injuries or damage.

The newspaper El Mundo says on its website that several people were slightly injured this morning from what appeared to be flying glass.

Burgos was once the capital of Spain and contains a historic city centre with important tourist attractions.
