Three hurt in bull run
Three people were injured in the second-to-last running of the bulls in Pamplona today, but no-one was gored.
Medical services spokesman Dr Fernando Boneta said three runners were taken to hospital with bumps or bruises following the seventh run at Spain’s San Fermin festival.
The sprint was clean and fast, unlike yesterday’s, in which a bull became separated from the pack and subjected one runner to a horrific, multiple goring as it attacked him repeatedly. The man remained in intensive care today.
A total of four people were gored yesterday, and six others were treated for lesser injuries.
A 27-year-old Spaniard was gored to death on Friday in the first such fatality since 1995.
