Obama books help net couple $2.5m

US President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle took home a combined income of more than US$2.5 (€1.9m) last year, tax return forms showed.

In all, the couple made $2,656,902 dollars (€2,017,254) in 2008 - with the vast majority coming from the sale of the president's best-selling books.
