Murder scene 'break-in' faked, Kercher trial told

A break-in looked to have been faked in the house where the body of murdered British exchange student Meredith Kercher was found, the trial of her two accused killers heard.

Police officer Michele Battistelli, who was sent to the cottage, said the door to Miss Kercher’s room was broken down and the inside was “covered in blood”.
